This time we have lined up an exciting group of speakers who will inspire you, challenge your thinking and spring you to action in regards to your financial life. Each of the speakers has a unique story to share in regards to their journey to wealth creation and financial freedom. Their experiences will without a doubt change how you handle your finances. The speakers are from different walks of life, professions and age groups. Our line up of speakers this time is as follows:

WILLIS GATHUA MURIU

Willis Gathua Muriu is the Director of PinkARMY Express Limited. PinkARMY Express is a courier company that delivers packages or parcels within the Nairobi Area and its environs.

Willis holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science with a minor in Mathematics from New Jersey City State University. Willis has an extensive background in ICT with over 15 years’ experience; 10 of which are in management positions. He worked for Kate Spade (formerly Liz Claiborne, Inc) a Multi-Billion dollar apparel manufacturing company in the New York office.

Willis is a member of Capital Club of East Africa, Parklands Sports Club, Limuru Country Club and Muthaiga Golf Club. He is the Vice President Membership of Nairobi Toastmasters Club. Willis is a Member of the Baraka Chapter of Business Network Institute (BNI) – East Africa.

Willis is a Centonomy alumni and he says after attending the classes he found the link that had been missing to propel his business to success. Willis will be sharing his experience and lessons learnt after taking the Centonomy classes as an entrepreneur.

 

AGATHA JUMA

Agatha is 37 years old and is a married mother of 3 and works in the tourism sector as the CEO of the Kenya Tourism Federation which is the umbrella body for the private sector in tourism charged with advocacy for a conducive business environment for the sector.

She is a marketer by training and holds a postgraduate diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing. She recently completed a program on Private sector growth from Swedish Institute for Public Administration (SIPU) and is about to complete a degree in Management from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa.

She is a member of Sema Toastmasters which is part of Toastmasters International and has attained the “Competent Communicator”status and is working on her advanced communicator qualification.

Agatha is a Centonomy alumna and she says Centonomy helped her change her beliefs about debt management.

DAVID KINYUA

David holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nairobi as well as various banking and investment certifications. David is in infrastructure and real estate projects across the region. He resigned as Regional MD of Stanbic Inv. to run Esham Park to date. He started off his career with Citibank Investments in Europe before moving to Stanbic in a career that spanned 13 years.

David will be sharing his experience as a successful entrepreneur and his journey to wealth creation especially in real estate and infrastructure.

APUFIAH WACEKE

Apufiah Waceke works in customer service at Oil Libya Kenya and is a proud mother of one boy. Her professional and education background is marketing, PR and event organisation.

She has also recently started a business in events and catering called Petuletu Events and plans to officially launch it very soon.

Apufiah Waceke is a Centonomy alumna from season 13 and she believes financial freedom begins from a change in your spending habits. She will be sharing how she was able to change her spending habits and become a more careful investor.

 

WAMBUI KURIA

She is an 18 year old undergraduate student at the Strathmore University studying Commerce. She is currently in her first year and plans to pursue a career in Finance, Banking, and Corporate Governance.

Wambui is an alumna from the first season of the Centonomy Campus Edition and believes all young people should learn the basics of investing from an early age so as to get a head start in their finances.

 

ESTHER WAITITU

Esther is a career banker having worked with local and international financial institutions over the last fourteen years in various capacities within corporate banking providing financial solutions for corporate entities across East and Southern Africa. Esther holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from University of Eastern Africa, Baraton. She is currently with CfC Stanbic Bank, Kenya which is part of Standard Bank Group which is the largest African bank whose market capitalization currently stands R225 billion. Esther leads the East African transaction banking team of 69 across 5 countries to implement and execute the agreed bank strategy.

Esther is a Centonomy alumna and her experiences in investing and handling finances will particular challenge the professional woman in regards to her approach to personal finance management.

 

ROY WACHIRA

Roy Wachira is the Co-founder & CEO of Camouflage Media Ltd (Kenya). Camouflage Media an integrated Digital and Experiential Media Agency based in Kenya, Uganda and Rwanda. He is an avid Serial Entrepreneur & he has been involved in numerous other start-ups in Africa namely Rumbaa.Com (Kenya), HeadHoncho Clothing (South Africa) & Brand2d (Kenya).

He holds a Bsc. Property Studies Degree from the University Of Cape Town, a Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing & Advertising Communication from Red & Yellow School in Cape Town and he has successfully completed the Owner Manager Program (OMP) at the Strathmore Business School in Nairobi. He is married and is a proud father. He is an avid photographer, adventurer & motor junkie. He is currently constructing The Foundry, which is a modern, creative, furnished & serviced Co-working Space in the heart of Westlands.

Roy is a Centonomy alumni and will be sharing his experience as a young entrepreneur in various industries, the business lessons he learnt at Centonomy and how Centonomy helped him structure his personal & business life.

 

MAINA & MARIA AZIMIO

 

Maina & Maria are the founders of Azipharm Limited which is a leading distributor of veterinary, laboratory and medical procedures equipment & surgical in East Africa.

Maina is a business management profession with over 20 years’ experience in project conception, design, planning, implementation, management, monitoring, evaluation & closure. He also has vast experience in marketing & promotions, branding & product development.

He also holds leadership positions in various companies such as Gilzak Enterprises Ltd, Starysia Enterprises, Azima Ventures among others.

Maina and Maria are Centonomy Alumni and will be sharing how Centonomy helped them as a couple in investing, spending & planning their family finances and how it has helped them in the running of their businesses.

    Hi Waceke, I watch you and your speakers from the U.S. I would also love to take the class if you will ever have classes online, I am so impressed and can you can imagine I was telling my sister in Kenya about centonomy and she didn’t know what I was talking about but anyway I wanted to know when is the next class starting so I can book for her.       Which of the three classes would you like to enroll for?
      Our next classes for the Centonomy 101 start on June 2nd 2015 & the next classes of Campus Edition starts May 30th.
      We also have an Entrepreneurship class starting 11th April 2015.
